How CatCosts works
We use desk research to compare costs, product information and practical trade-offs. Where a page includes a calculation, it should state its assumptions, show how the figure was produced and link to the sources used where practical.
Prices, availability, product specifications and policies can change. We aim to date material checks, distinguish sourced information from an estimate, and explain important limitations rather than presenting a changing figure as a guarantee.
Product-guide method
Product guides compare types of product and the features that may matter, such as size, safety information, cleaning, space, recurring costs and return arrangements. CatCosts does not claim hands-on product testing or personal product use unless a page clearly says otherwise.
Before buying, check the retailer’s current product details, dimensions, delivery information, returns policy and customer feedback. A guide is intended to help narrow a decision, not replace those checks.
Corrections and updates
